Jesus

11. HE WAS A HIGH PRIEST
We find the imagery of a high priest in the Old Testament where he sprinkles blood on the altar and on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant. These scriptures make no sense and do not contribute to personal righteousness unless we understand the symbolism of high priest, blood, altar and Ark of the Covenant revealed in the following links:

  • High Priests
  • Blood is God’s spoken word.
  • Altar is the heart.
  • Ark of the Covenant is the heart.

The function of a high priest is to sprinkle blood on the ark of the covenant. Since blood symbolizes God’s spoken word, and since the ark of the covenant is the pure heart of New Covenant disciples, we interpret the high priest’s function as follows:

  • The high priest speaks (i.e. sprinkles) God’s words on the heart.
  • When people hear God’s words in their hearts, they are saved from the sin of religion.

The power and authority to speak God’s words to the hearts of both Old/First Covenant religionists and to New Covenant disciples is the purpose of God’s anointing. People who do not do this are not anointed. They are not born again.

LIKES ARE NICE BUT SHARES ARE BETTER!

The Bible always uses the word “love,” as in “love your neighbor as yourself” to show affection and care for someone. Furthermore, the Bible encourages us to show a “greater love for our friends.” Sharing this post with another is an expression of “greater love.”
