HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN
Although the miracle of being created in God’s image happens where only God can see, there are changes in attitudes and behaviors that can be observed in New Covenant disciples whose hearts are changed. Here is a short list of changes that can be observed:

They will cease following religious laws and traditions that were so important to them before God changed their hearts from evil and impure to clean and pure.
They understand and experience the rapture and tribulation as present-day realities — not as events at some unknown, future time.
They will cease practicing defiled religion.
The are able to discern between true prophets and false prophets.
They will read the Bible with spiritual eyes and ears that enable them to interpret and understand the spiritual meanings of Symbols, Signs, Types, Parables, Copies, and Shadows.
They understand that God’s written word and his spoken voice are not the same.
They understand the Bible symbolically — not literally.
Because they trust that God will teach them his ways, they never consult with false prophets (i.e. religious leaders) for instruction about God.
They will no longer think of their lives in terms of their identity with a particular religion. Rather, they will think and act in terms of following God’s spiritual laws written on their hearts.
They will have a strong internal, spiritual awareness that God has changed their heart from evil and impure to clean and pure. Because of this heart change, their perspective on God, religion, religious people and themselves changes. They will find that God’s character is increasingly evident in their own lives. The will find that what it means to follow Jesus is not what they previously thought it was.
They will see that there are clear differences between Old/First Covenant religionists and New Covenant disciples.
They will no longer show favoritism and partiality toward religious people.
They will no longer identify themselves as Jews, Christians, or any other religion.
They will be able to DISCERN BETWEEN CLEAN AND UNCLEAN, HOLY AND PROFANE, SOUL AND SPIRIT, and GOOD AND EVIL
They will reject Old/First Covenant doctrines and practices.
Their drive to study the Bible will be different as they listen for God’s voice to reveal mysteries and explain Bible symbolism and parables to them.
Whereas they felt good (i.e had great pride) about being a member of a religious community, they will now feel set apart from religious people.
They will feel great humiliation for having been deceived by religion, for sinning by practicing religion, and for having been part of a religious system that oppresses others.
Whereas, they were previously very willing to practice their religion publicly, they now keep their faith between themselves and God.
They will regret having been a willing participant in commercial religion.
They will have mercy and compassion on people who are still enslaved to religion.
They will be strongly motivated to act as true prophets , angels, messiahs, high priests, witnesses, warriors and apostles on a mission to set religious people free from religion.
They will be strongly motivated to tear down religious altars and high places.
They will be strongly motivated to teach others how to hear God’s spoken voice.
Their hearts are full of gratitude that God has given them eyes to see and ears to hear his spoken word that saved them from spiritual death.
Instead of having pride in their religious wisdom and knowledge, they will give God glory for changing their hearts and allowing them to hear his spoken voice.
They will actively exhibit Jesus’ qualities and pursue Jesus’ ministry functions.

Religious people who have not been born again will not understand or appreciate these changes. They cannot imagine their life without religion. People who have experienced these changes in their hearts and minds, however, will say that it is a miracle because they never would have believed that it could be possible that they would ever stop being religious.
