COMMENTARY:
PROHIBITIONS AGAINST FAVORITISM AND PARTIALITY
  • Do not show favoritism to wealthy people.
  • Do not distinguish yourselves from others.
  • There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one.
  • if you show partiality, you are committing sin.
  • Do no injustice; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.
  • God is not one to show partiality.
  • To show partiality in judgment is not good.
  • Do nothing in a spirit of partiality
  • Do not distort justice; do not be partial , and do not take a bribe.
  • Do not show partiality to leaders or regard the rich above the poor.
  • Treat people the same way you want them to treat you.
  • Do not trust in deceptive words spoken by religious and political leaders.
  • But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
