NON-MEMBER (VISITOR) OPTIONS FOR ACCESSING FORUMS

INSTRUCTIONS TO MEMBERS ON CREATING A NEW FORUM TOPIC
In this web site, creating a submission for a new forum topic is called “Create a New Topic.” Only Religion Detox Members may create forum topics and begin discussions. Here are the instructions for creating a new topic:

  1. Click on the Forum title in the right-hand sidebar that best reflects the content of your submission. For example, if you want to write about Toxicity, click on Toxicity. This will take you to the page in which all Toxicity forum submissions will originate.
  2. At the top of the page you will see the  highlighted link “Subscribe.” Click on “Subscribe” if you want to be notified when other members submit a topic to this forum.
  3. On this page you will see a list of all previous topics submitted under this forum. The name given to each topic by the author is highlighted. Clicking on the highlighted topic name will take you to the content of that forum topic.
  4. Below that list of old topics is a box for creating a new topic that pertains to the forum you have chosen. Enter the title of your topic in the “Topic Title” box. You must give your forum contribution a Topic Title.
  5. Below the Topic Title box is a row of formatting boxes for your submission. The only ones most people will use are the b (for bold) and link (for creating a link in which you would insert a Bible scripture to support your comments.) We have given detailed instructions on how to create a Bible link in Create Bible Links in Forums.
  6. Write your submission (i.e. discussion on your topic) in the open space below the row of formatting boxes.
  7. Ignore the “Topic Type” and “Topic Status” boxes.
  8. Click on the box at the bottom of the page if you want to receive email notices of replies that other members make to your topic.
  9. Click on the “Submit” box in the lower right-hand corner. Your topic and discussion is now available for everyone to read.
